Cubbing is a fun activity for children all over South Africa. We went to Mpumalanga and spoke to Pearl Sambo (9) from 1st Sandzile Cub Pack about her Cubbing Adventures.
SSA: Why is Cubbing so much fun?
Cubbing is fun because we learn a lot and play fun games.
SSA: What was your best experience with Cubs?
My best experience was when we learned how to take care of disabled people.
SSA: What is the weirdest thing you ate outdoors?
The weirdest thing I ate was boiled eggs on a bread.
SSA: What was the toughest challenge at Cubs?
The toughest challenge was when we played the game “What present would you give…”
SSA: What was the most amazing place you visited with Cubs?
The most amazing place we visited was the Mbombela Stadium.
SSA: Can you name a few things you have learnt by being a Cub?
I learnt how to care about animals and I also learnt to share.
SSA: What things have you done with Cubs to help people in your community?
We helped the disabled people in our community.
SSA: What did you teach your mum that you learned at Cubs?
I taught my mum how to make a cup out of paper.
SSA: What makes a good Akela?
A good Akela takes care of us.
SSA: Why is your Akela special?
My Akela is special because she is the one making sure that we are safe.
