Akela 2016 is on its way! Pack Scouters play an integral role in the Cubbing experience of our young members. We spoke to Nokulunga Zitha (9) from 1st Milo Cub Pack in Mpumalanga.
SSA: Why is Cubbing so much fun?
Cubbing is fun because it teaches us fun games and our Akela always keep us happy!
SSA: What was your best experience with Cubs?
My best experience was when I learnt to always keep our country clean.
SSA: What was the toughest challenge at Cubs?
The toughest challenge is to learn about hard activities.
SSA: What was the most amazing place you visited with Cubs?
The most amazing place we went was the National Botanic Garden.
SSA: Can you name a few things you have learnt by being a Cub?
I learnt to be respectful, to take care of each other and to help other people all the time.
SSA: What things have you done with Cubs to help people in your community?
We taught other people how to plant a tree and also helped them.
SSA: What did you teach your mum that you learned at Cubs?
I taught my mum that everyone must respect their parents.
SSA: What makes a good Akela?
A good Akela is always prepared for Cub meetings!
SSA: Why is your Akela special?
My Akela is special because she takes care of us and she keeps her duty each and every day!
Cubbing Rocks because … we enjoy ourselves and have more time to find new friends!
