SSA: Why is Cubbing so much fun?
Cubbing is so much fun as you get to learn about the history of Cubs, learn many new things and get to do lots of Interest Badges.
SSA: What was your best experience with Cubs?
My best experience was taking part in the 2015 R-Don Competition with 1st Durbanville and DKS. It was a big experience for me and we all worked well together.
SSA: What is the weirdest thing you ate outdoors?
The weirdest thing that I have eaten outdoors are leaves.
SSA: What was the toughest challenge at Cubs?
The toughest challenge at Cubs was the Tug-of-War at the 2015 R-Don Competition because it was very hard to pull!
SSA: What was the most amazing place you visited with Cubs?
The most amazing place that I have visited with Cubs was the Koeberg Nature Reserve. We saw lots of buck and had so much fun walking around the reserve.
SSA: Can you name a few things you have learnt by being a Cub?
I have learnt all about knots, Lord Baden-Powell and Kim’s Game.
SSA: What things have you done with Cubs to help people in your community?
We have started to collect plastic bottle caps for Operation Smile.
SSA: What did you teach your mum that you learned at Cubs?
I have taught my mom how to do the reef knot, sheet bend and the bowline.
SSA: What makes a good Akela?
A good Akela is helpful, kind and lets the Cubs do lots of fun things.
SSA: Why is your Akela special?
My Akela is special as she is always happy, patient, kind and lets us play dodge ball, duster hockey and other fun games.
Cubbing Rocks because … it’s so much fun and you get to learn so many new things.
