Every year we are excited to welcome new Cubs. One such Cub is Kelsey Michelle (8) from 1st Boksburg Cub Pack in Gauteng.
SSA: Why is Cubbing so much fun?
Because we play fun games and do activities that are fun.
SSA: What was your best experience with Cubs?
The best experience was when I got invested and when I had to say my Cub Promise and Law.
SSA: What is the weirdest thing you ate outdoors?
I am a new Cub and that is why I haven’t been on a camp yet. But I can’t wait!
SSA: What was the toughest challenge at Cubs?
The toughest challenge was the swimming gala, we went to.
SSA: Can you name a few things you have learnt by being a Cub?
I learnt how to do knots, how to bandage somebody’s hand and foot and how to plant a tree.
SSA: What things have you done with Cubs to help people in your community?
We went to a school for poor children and threw them a party.
SSA: What did you teach your mum that you learned at Cubs?
I taught my mum how to carry someone who can’t walk. I also showed her what to keep in my first aid box.
SSA: What makes a good Akela?
A good Akela teaches us a lot of stuff.
SSA: Why is your Akela special?
My Akela is special because we do the opening flag with her. She is very kind and fun!
Cubbing Rocks because … I can’t wait to see my friends and play fun games and learn new things.
