As the year winds down, SCOUTS South Africa’s National Office is closing for the year. I want to take this opportunity to say a few words to you our volunteers and members.

To our Adult Volunteers I say thank you for the tremendous work that you have done with young people within South Africa over the past months. Your hard work as volunteers makes the change possible. Your hard work as volunteers enables the Scout Movement to build an engaged citizenry. Your hard work as volunteers also allows young people to shine through our various branches. Thank you!

To all the young people that are part of the various branches in our Scout Movement, I hope that you have enjoyed your journey this year in Meerkats, Cubs, Scouts, and Rovers. Your hard work and dedication is truly appreciated. Keep up the good work.

I am so proud to be part of the SCOUTS SA team and to see what has been accomplished this year. You should all be proud of your efforts!

I wish you and your families a happy, prosperous, and safe festive season. I look forward to the Scouting activities in 2024 and growing our Scout Movement together.
